BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

Business for the week opened quietly on the Stock Exchange yesterday. In standard stocks there was no activity. Sellers

asked £16 2s 6d for Bank of New Zea-

lands (fully paid), but buyers were pre-

pared to give only £15 17s 6d. New

Zealand Insurances were looked for at ' £5 15s and £5 12s, but sellers held for £5 16s. Buyers offered 90s and 88s foi South British Insurances, but sellers did not quote. Waihis were in demand at 34s 9d, sellers asking 35s 9d. Grand Junctions were quoted at 21s 6d by sellers, and at 21s by buyers. Talismans were done at 17s 3d. * j AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.
