AMERICA AND AUSTRIA.

ANGER IN VIENNA.

AMBASSADOR'S RECALL.

(Received September 13, 2 a.m.)

Sofia, September 12. Newspapers in Vienna are indignant as the result of the demand of President Wilson that Count Dumba, Austrian Ambassador, should be recalled. They comment angrily upon America's policy towards the war. Some newspapers affirm that Count Dumba acted within the scope of his duties. The Cabinet intends to accept the recall, as there is.no alternative, but will not appoint a successor until the end of the war, entrusting the Embassy to the charge d'affaires, M. Zeith. The issue is further complicated by others advocating the breaking off of relations with America. The American Embassy is specially guarded to prevent possible disturbances by a mob.
