OUTRAGE IN PERSIA.

BRITISH CONSUL DEAD.

ALLIED SUBJECTS LEAVING.

(Received September 12, 3 p.m.)

Petroghad, September 11.

The British Consul-General at Ispahan, the former capital of Persia, who was wounded on the outskirts of the town a week ago, is progressing favourably.

The Vice-Consul at Shiraz, who was also shot, died afterwards.

The subjects of the allies are leaving Aspahan, in consequence of the outrage, which is attributed to Germans bribing disaffected Persians.
