A pleasing function took place at the Auckland Masonic Institute and Club on Saturday evening, when its members, in conjunction with the members of the Manukau Ix>dge, No. 24, of Onehunga, | tendered a complimentary smoke concert j to Wor. Bro. Archie C. Harrison, the late secretary to both these institutions, who is leaving Auckland to take up the duties of secretary and manager to the Napier Workwomen's Club. Wor. Bro. F. Hartlett. W.M. of Manukau Lodge, on behalf of its members, presented Wor. Bro. Harrison with a travelling rug for himself and a handsome dressing-case for Mrs. Harrison, while V. Wor. Bro. K. R. Pijgott, the president of the Auckland Masonic Club, on behalf of its members, presented him with a valuable spirit stand suitably inscribed. Bro. Harrison was »ls<> the recipient of a guld-inuimled fountain pen, presented by members of the .Vvonport Orphans' Club, with which be had been associated for a number of years.
