LONDON WOOL SALES.

GOOD SORTS VERY FIRM.

Crossbred and good Merino wools are firm, with keen competition, but there are frequent withdrawals of faulty scoureds. The following prices have been realised or 10 fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named :Mahurangi, tops 16d, average 15^d; Kaieto, 15d. The number of bales catalogued was 39,216, of which 33,121 were sold. The Government permits unlimited exportation to the United States and the allies of crossbred yarns and pieces, but the prohibition of the export of tops continues.

All good wools are very firm, but shabby are still slow of sale. Australian clips sold as follows : —Boolathana, top 14jd, a S e ' Noondoo, top 16d, average 133 d ; Coogee. top 17d, average 15gd ; Clyde, top 24Jd, average 21gd.
