Minister for Defence, addressing the Transvaal recruits for the overseas contingent at Potchefstroom. said they were going to fight for a noble and holv cause. It was no campaign oi revenge, but for the cause of freedom and liberty, a cause which was always reckoned greatest in the world's history. He hoped many more South Africans would come forward to help secure victory.
