OFFICER OF KONIGSBERG.

ARRESTED IN SOUTH AFRICA

Johannesburg, August 20.

A foreigner from Delagoa Bay, who was arrested here, confessed that his name was Carstanter, and that In- was the sub-commander of the German cruiser Konigsberg. which was destroyed at the mouth of the Rufiji River, in German .Hast Africa. Carstanter says that his fellow-officers entrusted him with their cash, amounting to £-1000, hoping that he would be able to get away safely to Germany.
