FIRES OH STEAMERS.
CAUSING SUSPICION. (Received August 30, 11.40 p.m.) London, August 30. Xumerous fires which have occurred on steamers carrying meat from the River Plate are causing anxiety to underwriters, who .- suspect that they are not accidental. They have requested the owners to take greater precautions, otherwise they will raise the premiums.
