IMPRESSION IN RUSSIA.
VALUE OF THE FLEET. (Received August 16, 9.15 p.m.) Petrograd, August 15. The publication of a summary of the extent of Britain's participation in the war by Sir George Buchanan, the British Ambassador, has produced an excellent effect. The Novoe Vremya pays a tribute to the priceless services of the British fleet. It mentions that Britain's creation of an enormous army emphasises the danger of a premature move on the west front.
The famous Troitzky Monastery has offered its workshops for the manufacture of shells and other war material.
