ART UNION SANCTIONED. A telegram from Dargaville, published on Friday, stated: that the executive of tho :. queen carnival, by which it: was hoped to, raise £10,000 for,the .Wounded Soldiers' Fund, ■ had been informed that, its - art" union . could not bo. carried on, as. the - Government . had ; decided , to stop all lotteries.
