CARRIAGE OF MEAT.
MORE SHIPS AVAILABLE. AT THE END OF AUGUST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'- J Wellington', Tuesday. The New Zealand Shipowners' Overseas Committee has arranged for the P. and O. steamers Benalla (65,000 carcases capacity) and Cubic (42,500 carcases) to load in New Zealand at the end of August or early in September. The above is additional to the steamers to load here in August and- the eight steamers fixed for September loading. The available steamers, in addition to the two mentioned, and their freight capacity in carcases are as follows:—indrabarah, 100.000; Tongariro, 78,000; Athenic, 81.000; Waiwera, 78.000; La Blanca. 114.000; Delphic, 93,000; Indra pura, 116.000; making a total, if required, of 660.000 freight carcases. The meat in store on June 26 was 2,164,623 freight carcares.
