LARGE MOVEMENTS OF GERMAN TROOPS.
ENTIRE BAVARIAN ARMY IN TRANSIT. PROBABLY DESTINED FOR FLANDERS FRONT. London, July 19. The Daily Telegraph correspondent at Milan, gays that the closing of the German-Swiss frontier conceals large movements of Germans. It is believed that the entire Bavarian army is being transported either to Flanders, the Vosges, or the Italian front. If it were proposed to throw three or four million Austro-German troops, with a view to occupying Italy from the Adriatic to the Gulf of Genoa, the Italians would be strong enough to resist the movement. They are excellently equipped with guns and ammunition, and have proved themselves equal to the best soldiers in Europe. Italy does not expect a German attack which is also unlikely in the well-defended fortresses of the Vosges. It is, therefore, more likely that the Bavarians are going to Belgium and North France.
