j [BY TELEGRAPH.SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.J Wellington, Tuesday. The Shops and Offices Amendment Bill, I which bits been introduced by Mr. Arthur i M. Myers (Auckland East), provides that in towns in which Saturday is appointed as the statutory closing day for the weekly half-holiday, any occupier of a shop shall be entitled to close on Wednesday in lieu of Saturday on giving notice to that effect to the inspector.
