NORTHCOTE CROQUET CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Norlhcolo Citoauet Club was held in the club's pavilion, Princes Street. Northeote, on Monday evening- There was a good attendance, and the president, Mrs. J. T. Foamley, occupied tne cnair The fourth annual report and balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed the club to bo in a good position and that a winter green had just been opened for play. The president pointed out that the total receipts of the club had been £1226 2s 3d and the total expenditure £219 16s 2d. which left a cash balance in hand of £6 6s Id. Without taking into account the expenditure of £126 •16a 4d upon the lawns, the club had a surplus of assets over liabilities of £66 14» 7d The following officers wore elected: — Patron, Mr, Jan. Trounson; president, Mrs. A. E. Groenslade; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. A. Adams, R. Martin, and J. L. Leonard; secretary. Mrs. J. R. Bethwaito; treasurer, Mrs. J. T. Fearnley; creen super-, intendont. Mr. Jas. T. Fearnley; auditor, Mr H. G. McCrae; committee, Mesdamcs G. E. Adams. P. W. Bolland, E. D'Estcrro. J. Laurie, and Miss E. Oillibraud- j The past year's officers wore lhankod for their labours, and tho retiring secretary, Mrs. P. W. Bolland, was presontcd with a beautiful rose-bowl by the president on behalf of tho members. ! The prizes won for progressive croquet were handed to Mosdames J. T.
