AMMUNITION DEPOTS BLOWN UP AT /MUNSTER.
ANOTHER GERMAN POSITION CAPTURED NORTH OF ARRAS.
Wellington, June 20.
The High Commissioner reports from London on June 20: In the region north of Arras, after a fierce struggle, Bural Bottom, which had been stubbornly defended by the enemy since May 9, was carried by assault. On the slopes east of Lorette, in the direction of Souchez, the French captured several trenches, making 300 prisoners.
The advance in Alsace has been continued on both banks of the Fecht. The French bombarded the Munster railway station and blew up ammunition depots there. Metzeral, which the Germans set on fire before evacuating, has been completely invested."
Monster, in the district of Upper Alsace, is 16 miles south-east of Colraar by rail. It lies at the foot of the Vosges and has a population of 6000. Its principal industries before the war were spinning, wearing and bleaching.

Paris, June 19An official communique states: "A violent artillery duel took place north of Arras, where our front lemains unmodified.
" We reached the outskirts of Metzeral, in Alsace, and hold the enemy's communications between Metzeral and Munster under artillery and infantry fire. We have taken mere prisoners, and have captured machine-guns and a large quantity of rifles and cartridges."
