LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
THE MOSAIC INJUNCTION. _
—On reading Mr. A. Rosser's letter in the Herald on Saturday morning I thought I must bo i only half awake. I nibbed my eyes and read again—it v, as no mistake! Here are the words: "1 pointed out to the Court, that the men were already in receipt- of • the ;quart of milk, some by consent of their employers and others without their 1 consent; i from what was left in the can at the end of the, round. Further, that this; was not lookca upon as dishonesty by those in the trade." If that is the case I am' sorry for the trade, and also, incidentally, for Mr. A. Ilosscr, whom I can assure that their idea of dishonesty is not in accordance with ! that of any decent, -riglit-thinking people lin this community. Why, the next thing I wilt I" that we shall be told it is not I dishonest for a gold miner to pocket specimens, or for a bank teller to help himself Ito sovereigns! I cannot believe that Moses ever intended to encourage men to steal their employers' property, and even if he : did, what is that to us in these supposedly enlightened days? W. -fi. Walker.
