MACHINES TO CARRY SIXTEEN MEN AND BOMBS.

London, June 17.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr. W. Joynson-Hick3, Unionist member for the Brentford division of Middlesex, urged the need of increasing the supply of aircraft. He said Britain could, in three months, turn out aeroplanes of a hundred horso-power, carrying 16 men, similar to those in use in France, and capable of carrying destructive bombs.
GERMAN ACCOUNT OF RAIDS OVER ENGLAND.
DESTRUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

The following is the official German account of the raids over the English coast: "Airships, on the 9th and the 15th, raided the north* east of England, and dropped bombs on fortified places on the coast, causing, fires and the destruction of industrial establishments, including smelting furnaces. The airships were heavily fired upon, but were not damaged. We silenced a coast battery."
