WAIHI. t CABLE TO LONDON. s I - Ttik following is a copy of a cablegram 5 forwarded to the London office of the t Waihi Gold Mining Company yesterday by the superintendent of the mine:—No. , 11 level : Royal lode, east of No. 4 shaft - s. - uth-east crosscut, next 30ft driven ; values 5s 6d per ton ; next 17ft driven > values 62s 6d per ton. At 280 ft the lode , is 18ft wide. The first 9ft is worth 5s per ton and the last 9ft 28s 9d per ton. South section of Empire lode: Driving east of No. 4 shaft, west crosscut, 76ft driven ; , value 23s per ton. The average width of the lodo is 2ift. At 167 ft in the drive west of No. 4 shaft, west crosscut, and 110 ft in the crosscut due west, wo intersected quartz. Its course is true north, dipping east. The first lift is worth 12s per ton. > _ i TALISMAN. FUTURE DIVIDENDS. A cablegram was received yesterday by tho Talisman Consolidated G.M. Co. from the London office of the company stating that the annual meeting had passed off satisfactorily. The message added that dividends will in future be declared at the end of each quarter, thereby postponing payments by one month. ROSS GOLDFIELDS. The superintendent of the Ross Goldfields telegraphed yesterday as follows: — •' Return of 460z from 1105 trucks of wj'-sh." FOUR-IN-HAND. The drive on the Tributer's reef at tho Four-in-Hand mine, Coromandel, was advanced 6ft last week. The reef was small and mineralised. PAEROA WARDEN'S COURT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN correspondent.] Paeboa, Thursday At the Warden's Court at Paeroa today, before Mr. G. Cruickshank, warden, the following applications were granted : < —Robert Scott, surrender of residenco site ' at Komata; R. J. Simpson, residence site '. at Komata; F. H. Stephens, Komata, extended quartz claim at Hikutaia; F. C. Baker, surrender of Comstock special claim 1 at Karan^ahake; New Comstock Gold Min- 1 ing Company, surrender of two certificates I of easement; H. H. Chapman, wster race I at Komata.
