BRITISH HERO KILLED.
VALOUE MR FIRE, VICTORIA CROSS WON. (Received May 30, 3.30 p.m.) London, May 28'. Captain F. Greenfell, the lirst British officer to win the Victoria Cross in the present war, has been killed in France. Captain Greenfell was reported on September 3 to have carried to safety, during ft hot engagement, the Duko of Westminster. The gallant deed was performed by Captain Greenfell at great personal risk, under a heavy fire, the officer himself being wounded at the time,
