ITALIANS ADVANCING UPON TRIESTE.
AIfSTRMS ABANDON FRONTIER . FORTRESS, BOMBS-'DROPPED ON RAILWAY LINE BY AIRMEN; Rome, May 28.' Tie Italians on Tuesday, occupied the town of Gradisca, on the Austrian frontier, 25 miles north-west of Trieste. The fortress was heavily .bombarded, and the Austrians replied vigorously for a few hours* after which their fire died down. Italian cavalry, entered the. town in the evening, and found that the Austrians h4d evacuated the place. The populace, numbering over 4000, was almost starring. Two thousand were transferred to Udine, where they are being succoured. 1 The Italians have also occupied the island of Grado, within SO miles of TriesteIt is officially announced that a squadron of Italian airmen dropped bombs on the railway line between Trieste and Nabresina, interrupting communication. They returned unharmed, despite a violent artillery and rifle fire. v
