RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED.
LARGE MACHINERY SEC'ION.

Hamilton', Friday. The ninth annual exhibition of the Waikato Winter Show Association will be opened on Tuesday next 'jv the Prime Minister. Close on 5000 entiies ha ,- a been received, a record, and every available foot of space at the show buildings and the Horse Bazaar will be taken up. The exhibits of machinery in motion have never before been on such a large scale. They will occupy 75 per cent, of the 21,960 feet of space available at the Horse Bazaar, The remainder of this building will be given over to the Government exhibit, which will be made up entirely from the Ruakura farm.
In all classes for butter and cheese the entries are far ahead of those of last year, and the majority of the factories throughout the Dominion are represented. A special feature will be the conference of factory managers, which is to be held on Wednesday next. It is expected that fully 200 managers will be present at the conference. v Several.. important, subjects associated with' the dairying industry wL'l be dealt with by experts. . ~ . In the -agricultural,'horticulture!, home industries, and industrial sections, the entries are exceptionally large Tho poultry show, which' will be run in conjunction with the main exhibition, lias attracted entries from leading breeders. On Wednesday June 2, the annual conference of Jersey cattle breeders will bo held. . -
