■SUPREME COURT ARGUMENT." Argument concerning the ownership o; s piece of native land in the parish of Opuatia was heard by His Honor Mr. Justice Cooper in Banco at the Supreme Court;, yesterday. The plaintiff in the actionwas an old native named Hon Wharerarauwha, of Taupiri (hi; P. B. Fitzhcrbert), and tho defendants, Karo .Hori, of Taupiri .(Mr. A. E. Skelton), and Albert George Holland, a Judge of tho Native Land Court. Plaintiff sought to have an order, made by the Native Land Court, in favour of his wife, declared mill and void, . Lengthy argument took place, the main point involved being whether a. direction of the Native Appcilste Ooui't to the Native Land Court could be disregarded', . by the Native Lar.d Court professing to , act upon a direction of thfi successor, tlie plaintiff in the action, to vest his interests' in the block in his wife.
