Among recent donations are . the following:—. The Maharajah of Jeypur, £33,000 for . war expenses.■'. Rajah of Maihar, £600 for medical appliances for the wounded. , Bajah of Sailana, a, motor ambulance. _ Begum of Bhopal, £1600 for , comforts • for Indian troops. Nawab of Maler Kotla, £2600 for war expenses. , ; Chiefs of. Ba.rwani, Alirajptir, Jhabua, and Dhar, si.*c mctor ambulances for Trance./ Maharajah of Dungapur, 1000 rupees (£66). monthly during the war for comforts. ; Many chiefs have given large tents for .hospitals in France, and the Indian St. John Ambulance Association Las now sent gifts worth £40.000 to various hospitals at the front. The association, which still possesses £10,000 in cash and £2000 worth of further gifts, has endowed a ward and remitted £3000 to London for beds in a special hospital in France. Among recent Bed Cross gifts are 1000 sheepskin:) from the Rani of Kliairgarli, one million cheroots from Trichinnpolv tobacco firms, 1000 copies of the Koran from the Begum of Bhopal, and a motor launch for sick in the Persian Gulf from her son. .
