COSSACKS USE BAYONET.
AUSTRIANS MET ON FOOT. RESISTANCE BROKEN. (Received April 6, 2 a.m.) Petrograd, April 5. Russian cavalry, dismounting, attacked the Austrian front at Schilovsky, on the Bukovina frontier, and repeatedly resorted to the bayonet. The Cossacks similarly broke the enemy's desperate resistance. Russian infantry followed this up with an impetuous attack, and dislodged the enemy from the heights, occupying several villages.
