The candidate who was second on the list in the polling in connection with the recent election of a member for the Northern Maori dif.tri.-t, Nan Brown, lodged a petition to-day praying for another elec- ' on. He also lodged the sum of £200, hich by law must be deposited. Messrs. Prendergast, Devme, and Martin, of Auckland, aie the solicitor.* for the petitioner.
