OLD MAN FOUND DEAD.

NO CLUE TO IDENTITY.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Whang Monday. An inquest was held to-day into the circumstances of the death of an elderly man who was found dead' near Titoki on Saturday. Although exhaustive inquiries have been mado by the police, the deceased has not been identified. He was apparently about sixty years of age and was dressed as a "swagger." Nothing was found in his pockets or among his effects to give any clue to his identity.

Dr. Hall, who conducted a post-mortem examination, said that death was due to natural causes, and an open verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was returned.
