RIFLE SHOOTING.
STOCK EXCHANGE MATCH.
A CHALLENGE to a rifle shooting match lias been received by the Auckland Stock Exchange from theChristchurch Exchange, and the Auckland team will shoot on Wednesday. It was originally intended that th» Stork Exchanges of the four cities should engage in a combined match, but the Duncdin and Wellington Exchanges found it impossible to raise teams. Consequently, the contest will be between the Chnstchurch and Auckland representatives. lie conditions .ire 12 men a-side, 10 shots at 300 yds and 10 shots at 500 yds. Each team will fire on its own range. In future, however, if such matches become annual fixtuies, it is probable that the competing teams will shoot on the, one range. The members of the Auckland Exchange will hold a practice at Penrose tomorrow. The Akarana Rifle Club has offered to supply rifles for the practice and for the use of the Auckland team on the day of the match.
