AUSTRIANS IN CANADA.
HOUSES BLOWN UP. RUSSIANS ENDANGERED. Ottawa, October 21. Nine houses at Montreal, containing Russians, were blown up by bombs. The inmates had a miraculous escape. Several people were seriously injured. The body of an Austrian, who was one of the perpetrators, was discovered. Later reports from Ottawa state that several tenement houses in Montreal have been damaged by bombs. The occupants were chiefly Russians. It is believed that Austrians were responsible for the outrages.
