PRAISE OF BRITISH ARMY.
HEALTHY SOLDIERS. BEST-FED IN THE FIELD. Rome, October 20. The Messagero's war correspondent, in a long tribute to the British Army, contrasts the rigid, mechanical, and brainless German to the equally-disciplined but intelligent British soldier, who, in spite of the preoccupations of the war, still follows his daily sports. The correspondent says that undoubtedly the British soldier is the healthiest, cleanest, and best-fed in the field.
