PERISHED IN BLAZING TAR

AWFUL FATE OF TWO MEN.

DEATH INSIDE A BOILER.

By Telegraph— Association-Copyright.

Paris, July 15. Two workmen crawled through a small orifice into a large boiler of tar to-day.

While they were inside, shrieks and smoke suddenly attracted attention.

Attempts to rescue them proved unavailing. It. is supposed that one dropped an electric lamp, which ignited the tar. The bodies were unrecognisable when recovered.
