THE BOOKS GIVEN UP. (BY TBLECBAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Huntly, Friday, To-dat. at the Huntjy Court, before Mr. E. lUwson, S.M., the Waikato Medical and Accident Society, together with the. trustees (Messrs. Albert Berry and John Kerr) sued Messrs. Edwin Moore, George Mathie. William Woods, and David Molesworth. senior, who acted as trustees for the "old" society that existed prior to the recent strike. Plaintiffs asked for possession of the minute-book, cashbook, and -the Post Office Savings Bankbook, the total value of the whole being assessed at £1. Mr. G. M. Newton appeared for the plaintiffs and Mr. J. Robertson, who was instructed that morning, for the defendants. The latter expressed the willingness of the old trustees to acquiesce in the demand for the books. A case that was expected to thrpw considerable light on the proceedings of the society was thus brought to an abrupt conclusion.
