YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS.

A fair amount of business w«s done on the sharemarket yesterday. lii standard stocks, Bank of New Zealands were available at £12 2s 6d, and New Zealand Insurances at £5 16s 6d. South British Insurances were in demand at 82s. A sale of Taupiri Coals was effected at 21s 9d. Auckland Gas were done at (295). Business in Auckland Trams (ord.) was transacted at 21s 6d. Waihi mining shares Bold at 53s 6d, 53s 9d, 545, and 54s 3d. A sale of Talismans was reported at 42s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions were firm at 26s 6d. Ross Goldfields sold at 6s Bd.
