METHODIST CIRCUIT.

Tns Quarterly meeting of the Auckland East Methodist Circuit was held at Mount Eden Church, the Rev. G. Bond presiding. Membership returns showed a total of 516, an increase of 12 on last quarter. The income amounted to £219 9b Bd, leaving a uebn balance of £25 19s 6d, which it is hoped will be cleared during the coming quarter. The Kev. E. P. Blamires wrote accepting an invitation to succeed the Rev. W. A. Hay as minister at Mount Eden. Appreciative reference wa3 made to Sister Emily's work at Newmarket, and it was decided to continue her appointment for a second year, provided that the necessary income was guaranteed. Messrs. Sheppard, Green, and F. W. Stond were reappointed circuit stewards, and were also elected as representatives to the annual conference in Dunedin, with Messrs. A. Peak and J. Burton as substitutes.
