FLOWER SHOW JUDGES.
Sir,—ln Saturday's issue a letter appears from a member of the A.H.S., in which objection ist taken' to the method of appointing judges at their, exhibitions. It certainly appears strange, "he being a member of the society, that , a matter he considers of such importance was not laid before the committee, instead of rushing into print, as • suggestions from any member . are- entitled to, and would. receive, every consideration by the Committee. In justice to the executive of the A.H.S., I .think it only fair to state that the interests- of the exhibitors in . every case are their chief consideration in the selection of judges. As an old member, -I, too,' know a good many who act in, the capacity .'of judges, and feel sure I am correct in stating that not one of them canvasses -or solicits this onerous and responsible position; and further that most, if not all, of them , would willingly give place to anymore experienced experts if it.would further assist the society. TEe selection of (judges, rests . with the committee,, and if not carried out to the satisfaction of members they ; have their remedy at • any annual meeting. Another Member A.H.S. ;
