THE ROYAL ARTILLERY BAND.
Sir, —At the request of many friends I beg space to ask why we should be debarred from hearing the sweet strains of the Eoyal Artillery Band at our Exhibition oil Saturday nest-. May I suggest an. alteration ill the. itinerary, say an impromptu programme from 1.30 to 3 p.m., then there will be plenty of time to catch the 4 p.m. train to Frankton Junction and a special from there to Eotorua, giving the general public the privilege of travelling by the suggested special at , the usual holiday fares. I think that if the railway authorities were approached it would not be difficult to arrange matters. I and my friends would gladly avail ourselves of an opportunity. of this kind to do honour to the best band we have ever heard in the Southern Hemisphere. An Old Baxdsmak.
