EIGHT WORKMEN KILLED.

Ottawa, January 19. A dynamite explosion which occurred on the construction works of the Canadian Northern Railway at Ross Point to-day , killed eight workers. Two others narrowly escaped a similar fate-
The accident occurred when the workmen were engaged in blowing up rock in excavating for the foundations of a bridge pier.
