NAPIER BURGLARIES.

A OMAN ARRESTED. [by telegraph.— association.] Napieb, Tuesday. About nine months ago Napier was subjected to an epidemic of burglaries, and all the efforts of the police to discover the perpetrators proved futile. Quite unexpectedly fresh light has been thrown on the mystery by the arrest of David Conway Burn, at Hastings. A quantity of the missing valuables were found- in his possession. The prisoner admitted being concerned in two of the burglaries. Subsequently a man named Carpenter was arrested at Auckland on a charge of being concerned in the thefts.
