AQUATICS.

NEW ZEALAND rOWER-BOAT

ASSOCIATION

The following handicaps have been declared for the cruising races for classes A and B to Aw.-iroa Bay this afternoon. The commodore, assisted by Messrs. W. R. Twigg, W. Ross, L. Buchanan, and A. E. Jagjs, will act as starter and timekeeper. The first race, class B. will be started at 2.30 p.m. Class A will start at 3 p.m. Handicaps will be given at the start, and each boat's number will be displayed one minute before starting time, boats to go at fall of number.

Competitors will finish between the flagship Kotahi, and wharf, Awaroa Bay. The rear-commodore, Mr. Chas. Goidshro'. will officiate as judge, and Mr. J. F. P. Howden as timekeeper'. As all competing launches will be eligible for the special trophy, presented by Mr. James Reid, for the best kept cruiser racing during the season, owners are requested to await inspection by the commodore at the termination of the race. The committee have arranged with Mr. J. Gordon to hold a social evening ashore, and invite the attendance of all members and lady friends that can make it convenient to be present. Class B (start 2.30 p.m.).—First prize, trophy presented b v Jno. Burns and Co. ; second prize, presented by W. J. Rainger and Co. : No. 8 Adelaide (handicap 25m) starting time 2h 30m ; No. 17. Man one C (17m 30s), 2h 37m 30s; No. 15. New Way (7m 30s), 2h 47m 30s; No. 2, Sister Dora (scratch), 2h 55m. Class A (start 3 p.m.).—First prize, trophy presented by Arthur and Dormer; second prize, trophy presented by Ross and Co. : No. 18. Malwa (handicap 57m 30s), starting time. 3h : No. 6. Kermath (55m), 3h 2m 30s: No. 16, Arab (50m). 3h 7m 30s; No. 9. Media (42m 30s), 3h ism • No. 14, Srripps 111. (scratch), 3h 57m 30s.' Competitors must keep outside all fairway marks. RICHMOND CRUISING CLUB. The Richmond Cruising Club will hold its second series of cruising races to the Wade to-day.
