OTAHUHU WATER SUPPLY.
It seems probable that the Otalmhu Borough Counril will soon be compelled to ask the ratepayers to sanction the borrowing of £5000 for the construction of a reservoir. About £300 a year would be required to pay the interest and sinking fund charges, and it is estimated that this sum would be obtained hum the increased consumption. Thus far the water tower supply ha* been adequate, hut it is feared that it will not be sufficient to meet the increased demands throughout a long period of dry weather.
