London, January 5. Tfe popularity of the tango is waning. The leaders of society condemn it as a dance, and as a rw.ilt it has been banned at West End dances. It is also distinctly less popular in music-halls. DISSOLVING FRENCH MORALS. Paris, December 30. The Bishop of Verdin lias issued a pastoral letter forbidding the dancing of the tango in his diocese. The letter says :— "The tango is extremely dangerous, and is one of the greatest dissolvents of morality in France."
