NEW SPORTS CLUB.
FORMED AT POINT CHEVALIER. A meeting at Point Chevalier held last week decided to form a sports club to be known as the Point Chevs.lier Bowling, Croquet, and Lawn Tennis Club. Mr. W. Forrest, who was voted to the chair, explained that a site of 2} acres had been offered to the club, on easy terms. This site had two road frontages of 300 ft each and there was no reason why it could not bo made one of the best suburban greens of Auckland. Mr. John Bollard, M.P., was elected patron of the new club, and the following officers were also 'looted:—President, Mr. Thou .as Dignan; green superintendent, Mr. Forrest; treasurer, Mr. P. Collins; secretary. Mr. T. J. Mclvor; management committee. Messrs. A. Eedley, Thomas Fry, .W. J. Colli and Oh V. Mack.
