INVENTION BY MR. VAILE. By Telegraph— Association— Svdriiy, December 31. A special billiard cue which enables a player to play a. snookered ball has been invented by Mr. P. A. Vaile, of Auckland, the well-known sporting writer. With the cue a player can make a stroke anywhere on the table with greater certainty than with the ordinary cue. Mr. Vaile's cue was used by Harverson in a recent game in London.
