The new warships Australia and Sydney were given a cordial welcome on their arrival here. The town is en fete. Many children from the district schools yesterday visited the ships and sang patriotic songs. There were other extensive festivities. Admiral Patey, in a message to-the people of Australia, says: "The Royal Australian Navy has come to stay. The scheme is sound and well thought out while the ships are good value {or the money expended, and have fine companies l.am much gratified at the messages of welcome from all parts of.
