FATHER KILLS FAMILY.
♦ MURDER BY DVNAMITE. MOTHER ALONE ESCAPES. By Telegraph— Association— New York, September 19. Nearly all the members of a stonemason's family perished to-day by the rash act of their father. Mark Hurst, who was employed at Bloomington (Indiana), awakening in the middle of the night, summoned his family of three daughters and their mother to his bedroom, and announced that all must die. He then threw'a stick of dynamite under the bed. There was a deafening roar, and the house collapsed. Hurst and one daughter were blown to bits, and the other two daughters died from their injuries. The mother escaped. The windows of other houses in the neighbourhood were broken by the explosion.
