IMMIGRANTS FROM PAPUA. London, September 13. In a paper on " The Primitive Australian Tribes," read to the members of the British Association, Professor Sollas, the famous geologist, said that Australia was originally peopled by immigration from Papua, and Tasmania by people from Australia.
