TWO WELLINGTON FIRES.
SKATING KDJK DESTROYED.
[BY TELEORAPII. ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Monday. Tub skating rink at Kilbirnio was burnt yesterday. There had been a carnival on Saturday night, and it is supposed that the fire, which originated in the stateroom, was caused by a lighted match or a cigarette thrown on tho floor. Only tho tearoom was saved. The building was erected a short time ago. It was insured for £3000, and the furniture, etc., for £400. The loss above that is estimated at about £1800.
Lost evening a fire occurred in Asher's furniture warehouse in Vivian Street. A workshop was destroyed, and the contents of the rest of the building damaged by smoke and heat. The contents were insured for £400.
OUTBREAK IN DUNEDIN.

Dunedix, Monday.
A building consisting of a shop and dwelling of seven rooms at Burnaide was destroyed by fire early this morning. Tho building was owned by Mr. T. Fogg, and occupied by A. Gibbons. Everything was apparently safo when the occupier retired on Sunday night, and the cause of the tire is not known.
The house was insured for £325 in the Northern Office. There was a policy for £1150 on the furniture, and £100 on the stock and fittings in the shop.
