BLAOKMAILING A LORD.
UNDER THREAT OF MURDER.
DEMAND FOR £30,400.
By Telegraph—Press Association— (Received September 4, 6 p.m.) London, September 3. The man named Heinrich Kremmerskothen, who wrote to demand £30,400 from Lord Rothschild, threatening murder in the event of a refusal, has been sentenced to 15 months' imprisonment with hard labour, to be followed on completion of his sentence by deportation.
When arrested, Kremmerskothen had three notes inside his socks, also letters to Lord Rothschild which professed to come from a " committee." These stated that, if the police were informed, or if the man getting the money were arrested, Miss Alice Rothschild must die.
