FOUND IN THE WAIKATO.
BODY OP A WOMAN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hr/NTLY, Tuesday. r - A woman named Mrs. Jane Brown, who lives near Kimihia, noticing what appeared to he the body of a woman floating among the willows on the right bank of the ~ Waikato River, about three miles north of '-*& Huntly, summoned Mr. William Hodge, a [c " miner. After securing the corpse he notified the police, who brought the body to Huntiy. :S? The features were not recognisable, and the head was almost denuded of hair. The body must have been in the water ' for some time. From the boots and the clothing, the police are of opinion that the deceased was Mrs. Douglas, a married , woman, who disappeared from Cambridge ' some six weeks ago. The body will be ;.:;■;.. ~ taken to-night to Hamilton, where the inquest will be held.
