lie commemoration of the 224 th anniversary of the closing of the sates of Derry, the Soyal Black Preceptory of the Orange Ledge held itis annual concert and dance in the Grange Hall, Newton? last tughi... About 60 couples were present. Proceedings opened with a concert, and those wko contributed to the programme were:—Misses M. Reid, Bene Wsvrd, Messrs. L. Bickerton, M. Lamb, T- Bollard, and .Simmons, and Master Ward. Dancing continued from nine o'clock until 12, and a very enjoyable evening was spent.
