This latter photo shows Second-officer Adcock, who gallantly rescued two of the ship's company from drowning. Te Kuiti, the busiest town in the King Country,'is depicted in several illustrations, which show the extent of the town and its principal business quarters. A double page is entirely taken up with some very beautiful scenes from the kingdom of tho Mikado. Tho frontispiece is devoted to a portrait of a lovely Maori girl in native costunle.
